Private Christian education can be fully affordable. As a tuition-based school, we guide our families through a variety of scholarship opportunities.
The state of Arizona allows private school students to apply for tax-credit scholarships from School Tuition Organizations (STOs). Phoenix Christian strongly encourages all new and current students to apply for scholarships from multiple STOs each year. Tax credit scholarships are awarded only to students who have completed our enrollment process.
Any student enrolled at Phoenix Christian is eligible to apply.
Any student falling under one of the following
four categories may apply:
The student switched from a public to a private school after attending the public school for at least 90 days.
The student is a dependent of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, stationed in Arizona.
The student is in Kindergarten.
The student has received Corporate or Overflow/PLUS scholarships in the past and has attended private school ever since.
These awards have the same eligibility guidelines as the Overflow/PLUS awards, plus additional family income guidelines.

applyStudents admitted to Phoenix Christian Preparatory School must show grade level academic performance and ability equivalent to a C average. Report cards, standardized test scores, and NWEA MAP screener scores will be considered. Students at all grade levels must show an official behavior record and no failing grades on the students most recent school transcripts. (Note: a one-time failing grade or behavior incident may not exclude a student from admission, but circumstances will be evaluated during the admission process to determine if admission can proceed.) A student may be accepted on a provisional status if any of the above criterion are not satisfied based on the discretion of the administration. Such acceptance will require family and student agreement to the provisional terms and interventions. Students with an active Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or learning differences will be considered through our Responding to Individual Student’s Educational Needs Program.
Through interview and application process, students and parents must 1) demonstrate a strong desire to attend and become part of Phoenix Christian Preparatory School 2) demonstrate an understanding and commitment to follow school policies and procedures.
We do not have weekly tour groups offered currently but we do offer tours regularly. Click here to schedule a tour. We like to encourage attending a Campus Visit instead of a tour as the prospective family gets more bang for their buck during their visit!
Applications for all grade levels are available online only. The Admissions office does provide paper copies of required supplemental forms as needed.
Phoenix Christian is a nondenominational school, welcoming students of all faith backgrounds, so church membership is not a requirement for admission. However, all classes will be taught from a biblical worldview perspective and students are required to attend bible classes and chapel. All our faculty and staff members are of the Christian faith.
Phoenix Christian does not directly award student scholarships. Instead, our school partners with School Tuition Organizations throughout the state to help families secure tuition funding through tax credit scholarship programs. Read more here or email our Business Office at tuition@phoenixchristian.org for more information.
Yes, we allow Homeschooled middle school and high school students to enroll in courses such as Symphonic Band, Anatomy, Spanish, Bible, and more!
