Coach Jay Leary
Coach Jay Leary has been coaching track and field at Phoenix Christian Preparatory High School for fifteen years. He joined the PC staff in August 2009 and assisted in coaching the boys’ and girls’ sprints, hurdles, and relay teams. Coach Leary became the Cougar head coach in 2022. He has a passion for leading student-athletes on and off the track.
Coach Leary has earned a total of four state championships in the 100 meters (for boys and girls), 4×100 relay (boys), long jump (boys), and shot put (boys). Additionally, he has coached three high school record-holders.
