Phoenix, AZ – Coach Jason Kindred, a seasoned football coach, and mentor with over 20 years of coaching experience has been named Head Varsity Football Coach at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and with 25 years of experience working with youth from a variety of backgrounds, Coach Kindred has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer young men.  

Throughout his career, he has held various coaching positions at high schools and youth programs, including Arizona Boys Ranch Academy, Maryvale High School, Estrella High School, Shadow Ridge High School, and Pop Warner Far West Jets. Under his leadership, the Pop Warner Far West Jets achieved 15 state championships and 3 national championships, earning him recognition as a Pop Warner Hall of Fame inductee and three-time Pop Warner Coach of the Year. Matt Houle, Phoenix Christian parent and member of the football task force commented, “Coach Kindred is more than capable of overseeing the football program and exemplifies the mission of Phoenix Christian.”
Coach Kindred’s passion for football and commitment to helping young men grow and develop is evident in his achievements. He places a strong emphasis on building relationships, instilling discipline through physical training, character development and focusing on being a strong student-athlete. He believes that emphasizing these characteristics is not just about preparation for games, but also about becoming Christ-like individuals.
Coach Kindred strives to glorify God through the love of the game and the team’s commitment to discipline. The team’s philosophy is rooted in faith, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. He values inclusivity and diversity and sees it as a way for young men to understand and appreciate the unique talents of each individual while fostering mutual respect.

 
Coach Kindred has succeeded in overcoming obstacles and strengthening his faith through his dedication to personal growth. He aims to motivate young men to adopt a similar approach, relying on their faith, family, and coaches to cultivate strong character and effect positive change in their lives.
Coach shared, “I am thrilled to be a member of the Phoenix Christian community and I look forward to guiding the football team to success both on and off the field.” Coach Kindred holds a deep appreciation for the rich history of Phoenix Christian football. He recognizes the legacy of excellence that has become synonymous with Phoenix Christian football and is proud to be a part of such a storied program.
