Worked in the corporate world for several years at American Airlines, Inc. in the Accounting department and Uber Technologies, Inc. in the Fraud department.

Why Phoenix Christian?

Phoenix Christian is an amazing example of a community that puts Jesus at the center of everything. I love being a part of this diverse, multiethnic community because I get to see a glimpse of what it will look like when all things are made new and all people of all tribes, every tongue, and every nation will be together before the throne of our King, Jesus Christ.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is a favorite/what does it mean to you.

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

Everyone lives for something. There is a void in each one of our hearts that we need to fill. We all try to fill it with something, but nothing will ever satisfy. The only one that can ever satisfy this void is Jesus. Therefore, the true expression of living is living for Christ and dying to ourselves. To me, this means surrendering all that I am to Jesus everyday and seeking to be molded and shaped into his likeness.

What is something you do for fun when you’re not teaching?

I love to hike, bike, play basketball, play ping-pong, play the drums, read, travel, and watch the Phoenix Suns and Green Bay Packers.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

My favorite teacher was my 12th grade AP Statistics teacher, Mrs. Roberson, or Robes. She elevated the relationships with students above all and made learning fun and challenging at the same time.
