I am a second year 3rd grade teacher here at PC. I have experience teaching 3rd, 6th and high school special education. I also have 10+ years experience working in children’s ministry at my local church.

Why Phoenix Christian? Phoenix Christian is a beacon of hope right in the heart of Phoenix.PC is a school that focus’s on a christian philosophy of education which is what this city needs. I also love the small class sizes and supportive staff. Phoenix Christian also has amazing, caring families. Another reason I chose Phoenix Christian is the diversity we have at this school. It truly shows Gods love for all the nations.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is a favorite/what does it mean to you.

Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I love this verse because it is a reminder of the gospel. That we are not justified by works but through faith in Christ. Also that Christ came to save sinners and because of that we can have peace with God the Father through Jesus. He is our savior, mediator, and King of peace.

What is something you do for fun when you’re not teaching?

I enjoy hiking and exercising as well as some good coffee. I love to travel to new places any chance I get.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

My 5th grade teacher Mr. Hollenbeck is one of my favorite teachers. He really ignited a passion in me for learning and taught me valuable life lessons.
