Relevant Work Experience: I just completed my 13th year of teaching. I have taught Kindergarten and preschool, but most of my years have been in Kindergarten.

Why Phoenix Christian? With the way the world is now, especially in the area of education, I want to be here at Phoenix Christian for my daughters to be taught with a biblical perspective and be shown the love of Jesus. I want to teach with a biblical perspective and freely show the love of Jesus to my students. I value the opportunity to pray for and with my students in and out of my classroom.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

Mrs. Barrera was my Kindergarten teacher. She was so kind and loving. She made learning fun through her creativity and inspired us each day to use our imagination. She made us feel important and able to do anything we set our minds to. Mrs. Barrera is the reason I love teaching Kindergarten!

Favorite Verse: I love Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” It is a constant reminder that I need to trust him and not myself; He is omniscient, and I am not. He has continued to show his faithfulness to me and made my paths straight even when I try to do what I think is better.
