STEM Students Shine at National Robotics Challenge in Ohio!

On April 3rd, four talented high school STEM students represented our school at the National Robotics Challenge held at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Ohio. Competing alongside teams from 44 high schools across the country, these students brought innovation and determination to the field.

The team designed, built, and coded three custom robots to compete in two intense categories: Robo Hockey and Combat Robo. After a tough first round, the students went back to the drawing board, made critical adjustments, and came back strong—winning their 3rd round in the redemption bracket!

Unfortunately, a hit to the receiver during a later match knocked one of the robots out of commission, bringing an end to their run. But their performance, creativity, and resilience earned them a 9th place finish overall—a huge accomplishment on the national stage!

We’re incredibly proud of this team for their hard work, teamwork, and innovative spirit. #educateformequip #cougars
